Generations 9 through 12 (1902-current)


9. William Orville Headrick (1902-1979)

William Orville Headrick worked as a Press Operator at the Fulton Sylphon Company (Robertshaw Fulton) in Knoxville, Tennessee for 50 years.  For many years safety protection equipment was not available in industry.  As a result of this, he lost several fingers or parts thereof while operating metal presses.  He and his family lived most of their lives in West Knoxville on Euclid Avenue and were members of Euclid Avenue Baptist Church.

Orville loved to fish and attend University of Tennessee football games.  He married Ethel Mabelle Farmer (1902-1998) in 1923 and they had six children:  Lucille Tenneva (1924-2003); Oreda Mae (1927-current); Betty Ruth (1929-current); Helen Bernice (1931-current); Paul Edward (1933-current); and Donald Eugene (1935-current). Both Orville and Ethel are buried in Highland Memorial Cemetery in Knoxville.

10. Paul Edward Headrick (1933-current)

Paul lived his childhood years in Knoxville, Tennessee and attended Moses Elementary School, Tyson Jr. High, Knoxville High School and the University of Tennessee.   He was a member of the last graduating class of Knoxville High School.

In 1953, Paul was drafted to serve in the U.S. Army.  He was assigned to the Military Police and was stationed in Sendai, Japan.   After returning to the U.S., Paul married Nancy Geraldine Billingsley (1937-current) on April 12, 1957.  He graduated from the University of Tennessee in 1960 with a BS degree in Industrial Engineering. 

Upon graduation, he and his wife moved to Newton, NC where they lived for eight years before moving to Conover, NC.  Paul worked for 34 years in Industrial Management.   He was elected to and served on the Conover City Council for five terms of office (1982-2002).

He and his wife are charter members of Woodlawn Baptist Church in Conover, North Carolina.  They have one son, Nathan, born in August of 1974.

11. Nathan Paul Headrick (1974-current)

Nathan Paul Headrick was born in Hickory, NC in 1974.  He is a graduate of Newton-Conover High School, the University of North Carolina, Harvard University, and Georgetown University Law Center.  He was part of the last class to attend Newton-Conover Junior High School.  Nathan is the first Headrick to be admitted to the US Supreme Court Bar.

Nathan married Kerry Ann Kilar of Pittsburgh, PA (1976-current) on April 12, 2003 in Cambridge, MA. 

Kerry and Nathan have a daughter, Ashley Kennedy Headrick, born May 27, 2006, and two sons, Lance Paul Headrick, born June 21, 2008 and Jack Anders Headrick, born April 12, 2010.  Their twins Liam James and Caroline Grace Headrick were born October 24, 2012.
